They lost the first round of the “Entrepreneur Fest” and were shown the door within the hour. Little did they know, their idea of ‘Infusion Beverages’ had left a mark and they would be soon receiving their first order of 150 bottles!
Chetanya Golechha, Mrigank Gujjar and Utsav Jain, students of Class X from Neerja Modi School, Jaipur look back at the fest that changed the course of their life.
Chetanya says “Our presentation of the product failed to impress the judges in the fest. We were kicked out in the first round. Though we were out of the competition in the first hour but got the order of delivering 150 flavoured water bottles,”
Their journey from formulating the idea, finding an investor and making sure their product see the light of the day in less than a year has been phenomenal! In spite of having to juggle between board exams, investor meetings and patent applications, they have managed to do fairly well. Their hard work paid off and they bagged a funding of 3 crore INR.
Mrigank says “We carried out intense research on Google to prepare a healthy drink without sugar and soda. But soon we realised that turning an idea into reality is not easy when you are a minor. Procuring the licence, necessary permissions from the food department and approval from FSSAI, are a herculean task. As we were minors our parents sought the permission on our behalf,”
And all this, wouldn’t have been possible without a support system that came in the form of their parents, school and investors who believed in them and their immense potential.
Are your students with such entrepreneurial skills using varied platforms to portray their ideas?
